Why did you start dancing:
I always loved watching b-boys/b-girls but never
participated. My cousin and I found this class and thought we'd give it a shot. I don't know if i would
have started b-boying without this class. We were
really excited when we found it.
How long have you been taking Body Rock Classes:
About a year.
What do you like about the classes
(any personal success):
The classes are fun and have a really positive,
supportive atmosphere. I like having a place that I can
look like a dork without everybody pointing & laughing
at me. That's important for a 30 year old chiropractor
from the suburbs.
What has been your most enjoyable b-boy experience:
I love hitting a tough move in a cypher or one of our
class battles. That's when it really counts. And it
makes you feel like Superman.
Personal goals (for class and life):
To create a fun, friendly chiropractic office that everyone enjoys being a part of. And to get my windmills in a battle, when it really counts. |

Why did you start dancing:
I started breakdancing because my whole life my father has been into hip-hop, and I wanted to carry it on since he doesn't breakdance anymore. Also because my uncle grew up with a few members of the Massive Monkees, and every time I seen them they have shown me love, and took care of me. I see them perform and see what people are capable of. Then one day I tried it out and I seemed to LOVE it, and since then I have been getting much help from my idols of breakdancing Massive Monkees and Fever One of Rock Steady Crew and many others who help me along the way, and I'd like to thank them for that. Family and friends both for the support. But I kept it up because of the motivation and support I had from my teachers, and a few main friends and my closest/best friend that kept my motivation alive. And can't forget my father for always being there. I would just like to thank all of these people for everything.
How long have you been taking Body Rock Classes:
I started taking Body Rock Classes right when I began
breakdancing, that was almost a whole year and a half
ago. Since then I have been working with many people to improve my skills and thank Jerome and Fever for
teaching the class that I am capable of doing moves I never thought I would be able to do.
What do you like about the classes
(any personal success):
I cant begin on where to start about what I like most
about the class... I would have to say the workout,
thrill/excitement, and the fact of knowing that you are
working with 2 of the greatest b-boys in the world. Two great inspirations in my life.
What has been your most enjoyable b-boy experience | Personal goals (for class and life):
My most enjoyable b-boy experience would have to be beginning breakdancing in general... I cant say my most enjoyable b-boy experience yet because I still have a whole lot of time to figure that out. And from b-boying it gave me a whole lot of inspiration in doing things. My personal goals for the class would be to just keep going and working with Jerome, and as for life just to succeed and go far, and push the limits to see what else life has to offer. |
